At Larrimac Golf & Tennis Club, we offer a fun nine-hole golf course with lush fairways and undulating greens, elevation changes, sand, water, wildlife and trees. Our golf course provides a truly natural setting for golfers of all levels to enjoy. With a friendly and relaxed environment and welcoming staff, you will feel right at home here. Whether you have just a few hours or a whole day, you can play nine or 18 holes at your leisure.

Local Rules

  1. Penalty areas are marked by yellow and red stakes. See Rule 17.1d.
  2. Out of bounds is marked by white stakes. A ball crossing the line marked by out of bounds stakes on holes 8/17 or 9/18 and coming to rest on the golf course, other than on the hole in play, shall be considered out of bounds.
  3. Roads and paths include the sides/embankments of the road or path, plus one club length.
  4. The paths across the water on holes 4/13 and 5/14 are immovable obstructions within the penalty areas. The player must play the ball, resting on these paths, as it lies or proceed under Rule 17.1.b under penalty of one stroke.·
  5. A ball that comes to rest, in bounds, on the road on holes 2/11 may be dropped and played from the identified drop area, without penalty.
  6. A ball that comes to rest in the penalty areas in front of the teeing grounds on holes 8/17 may be dropped and played from the identified drop area, under penalty of one stroke. A ball that comes to rest in the yellow staked penalty area in front of the green on holes 8/17 may be dropped and played from the identified drop area, under penalty of one stroke.
  7. Through the green, a ball that is embedded in its own pitch-mark in the ground, other than in a penalty area, may be lifted, without penalty, cleaned and dropped as near as possible to where it lay but not nearer the hole.
  8. If ” Winter Rules” are in effect, a ball lying on a closely-mown area through the green (i.e. fairway and not in a penalty area or on the putting green) on the hole in play may, without penalty, be marked, lifted, cleaned and placed, within one club length of where it originally lay, but not nearer the hole. A player may place the ball only once and it is in play when it has been placed.
  9. A ball striking an elevated line/cable (crossing the intended line of play) must be replayed, without penalty.
  10. Teeing grounds are integral parts of the golf course and are not obstructions. :
  11. Exposed rock and exposed gravel anywhere in the mown area through the green (i.e. fairway and mown rough) are deemed to be ground under repair from which a player may take relief under Rule 16.1.b, without penalty.
  12. The old green on the left side of hole 8/17 is deemed to be ground under repair. The player must take relief under Rule 16.1, without penalty.
  13. For the road on 8/17, the area between road and the penalty area (from the upslope to the tennis courts) is considered part of the road.
  14. Stones in bunkers are movable obstructions (Rule 12.2 applies).
  15. Distance-Measuring Devices. For all play at this course a player may obtain distance information by use of a distance measuring device. If, during a stipulated round, a player uses a distance measuring device to gauge or measure other conditions that might affect play (e.g. elevation changes. wind speed etc .), theplayer is in breach of Rule 4.3.
  16. Other than on the putting green, damage that is clearly identifiable as having been caused by animal hoofs is ground under repair (Rule 16.1 applies). Such damage on the putting green may be repaired (Rule 13.1.c does not apply).
  17. If a ball comes to rest (in bounds) near disc golf (a) tees (b) signage or (c) basket, such that the player’s stance or swing is impeded, then relief may be taken. In addition, if line-of-sight is impeded by (c) a basket, then relief may be taken.

Eligibility to compete for club trophies

  1. Only fully paid golf members are eligible to play for, and compete for, club
    tournaments.
  2. Life Members are also allowed to compete for all club tournaments.
  3. Junior Members with a handicap of 18 or less may compete for club championship and the Lawson Trophy.
  4. Exceptions are for the Green Trophy and the Bushnell (Burpee) qualifier. Members may invite guests to play in these tournaments, but only teams where both competitors are fully paid golf members are eligible to qualify and win.
  5. Exceptions are also for the night golf, fall classic (Beef-and-Greens) and other social-golf events without trophies: these events will be open to members and guests.
